We here at Braindeer Games have noticed an alarming trend. Gamers across the globe are decrying the use of 'Politics' in their video games. Despite that, developers seem to continue to subject helpless gamers to politics at every chance they can. What's next, politics in movies? Politics in music??

So after months of research and countless internal debates we set out to create the world's first non-political video game. A Flat Grey Room is simply that; an empty space for you to enjoy the bliss of a total lack of political statements. No dialogue or characters that might imply a person with beliefs had any part of this, no enemies or even allies that might imply a stance on any subject, no colors in any combination that may present an opportunity for unauthored thinking. Simply enter your pronouns and enjoy. You may walk around and jump, if you like.

You're finally free.

FAQ

Why pronouns?

We hired a crack team of political scientists and after thousands in consultation fees determined that pronouns are "simply a basic function of the English language" and that "individual personal identity does not qualify as a political statement". So in an effort to provide more features to the game, we included some basic character customization.

Can I do anything?

Of course! You're free to move about the room and clear your mind of political woes. Just don't come up with any kind of free thought as that would violate the spirit of the game.

Isn't a pronounced and deliberate lack of political statements in and of itself a kind of political stance?

... no?
